Welcome to Becoming Mindful! Here, it's all about understanding rather than controlling. Understanding your thoughts, emotions, and every situation empowers you to make the best decisions.

In life, we have full control over only a few things: our thoughts, emotions, and actions. We cannot control what others think, feel, say, or do, nor can we control external situations or events around us. We cannot change the past or dictate the future.

While I don't claim to know everything, I am passionate about learning more and sharing that knowledge with you. Join me as I document my journey towards mindfulness, discovering new and timeless ways to be present, savoring the little joys, celebrating every victory, learning to let go, and uncovering your true self.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, overworked, or if you're a people-pleaser, overly conscientious, responsible, compulsive, or a perfectionist, this is for you. Take what resonates and leave the rest.

I hope you find something here that helps you become your best self. Be true to yourself, regardless of others' opinions.

What you will learn:

  • How your emotions and thoughts affect you physically.

  • Long-lasting change requires effort, not quick fixes.

  • One size does not fit all.

  • You always have a choice.

  • A program designed to keep you moving forward, even when it feels tough.

  • Building boundaries that align with your beliefs.

  • Getting to know yourself.

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

Hi, my name is Brittney Stofferahn.

I am a certified mindbody coach through "Pain Free for Good" by Heather Peterson. I am also a certified yoga instructor. I help others take back control of their lives so they may enjoy more of the things they love and let go of negative thoughts and false beliefs that hold them back. By bringing to the surface the root of it all so that you may see and learn for yourself how all the control you need is in your hands and has been there the whole time.

Growing up I had to work through many challenging moments and how they affected me personally. From leaving a religion I was raised in, death of my father when I was 17 years old, and being true to myself even when I stood alone. I never seemed to find where I belonged. Everyone else seemed to think they had the answer for me. I spent years trying to find myself. I didn't give up when I had anxiety or depression, I didn't cave into temptation or the social norms. I wanted to stay true to me and what I wanted.
